1. Tell us about yourself:

My name is Aaron Larmore and I am the owner of Fit2Live in Iowa City, Iowa. It's true that you're never too young to make a difference, and the age of 25, I along with another individual took out a substantial loan to chase my dream. Through my fitness business, I desire to change the world.

The way you change the world, is you change a man, or woman. In 6 years, I have helped individuals lose weight, sign contracts with professional teams, and overcome illnesses to get their lives back. This has been very rewarding, however, nothing is more rewarding to me then painting greatness into the hearts of children.

Alongside our adult programs we work with fitness and athlete groups of kids 6-18yrs old. Our kids know the coach's doors are always open to 'talk.' At Fit2Live we have a great young staff and through it we've become more than 'only' coaches to the kids. Daily, we are able to make a difference and be an influence in their lives. Today's children ARE tomorrow's leaders in our country, and communities.

I grew up in small town Iowa and played sports ever since I was very young. In high school I was a 4 sport athlete. At that time playing sports was all I really wanted to do. I went on to play football at the University of Northern Iowa and played for just over a year. When my athletic days were over, I completed my undergrad at the University of Iowa. I knew if I wasn't going to play athletics I definitely wanted to be around them. I attained my B.A. in Health and Sport Studies with an emphasis in Biology.

Professionally, I have worked with fitness enthusiasts to training numerous professional and top level athletes. I have been very fortunate to have worked alongside some of the nation's top strength and conditioning coaches including the Iowa football and Olympic programs, as well as former Husker Power strength coaches at Xplosive Edge in Omaha, Nebraska. My fitness approach has been heavily influenced through time spent with Pavel Tsautsoline in the Russian Kettlebell Challenges and Brian Grasso with the International Youth Conditioning Association.

I'm very passionate about my job. Every day I look forward to going to work. Og Mandino said it best, "If you find something you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life." I'm very blessed and thankful for the IYCA and the people whom I have been surrounded with. I wouldn't have become the coach I am today without the support and guidance from the many along the way. Thanks to you Fit2Live has become a reality. 2. How has being a member of the IYCA impacted you and your career?

Over 3 years ago, I was attracted to the IYCA after I read The Art of Coaching by Brian Grasso. I knew there was something different about this organization. After I heard Brian talk at the Midwest Fitness Seminar, I knew right then Brian's passion for making a difference in the lives of children was real. Everything he said made sense. "Fitness must be fun." "Children are not small adults." That day I committed to following Brian and the IYCA on this journey to making a difference in today's youth. To this day I'm glad I did!

3. What is your biggest tip for your fellow IYCA Members?

3 Tips I Try to Live by:

#1- People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.

#2- One is too small a number for greatness.

#3- Keep a beginners mind.
